Task: You and a team are going to design a set of criteria that will determine the world's Best Places to Live. You will then publish a website to promote your best ideas. The website will be password protected from this WEEBLY site. Further details will come from me shortly!
Procedure:
Procedure:
- Using the text and other resources, create a list of criteria that could be used to identify and evaluate different characteristics which make a city 'live-able'. Examples include: crime rate, minimum wage, cost of housing
- With your team, discuss and choose 8-10 criteria which are the most important. At this point you can think about your point of view. Are you a family with small children? Are you elderly? Are you looking for a place to go to University?
- Decide on a way to use these criteria to rank places to live. Using numerical values is probably the most effective and concrete way to do this. However, if you have a different idea, let me know!
- Choose a variety of places to research and put your criteria list to the test. The list places you choose should have at least one place from every live-able continent.
- Research! Remember to evaluate each website and keep track of your resources with EasyBib.com
- Build your website at http://students.weebly.com
